Surratt previously carded a Riyadh Golf Club course record of 61 in last year's third round before losing out to eventual winner Joaquin Niemann in a playoff. Belgium's Thomas Pieters matched Surratt's second round score to remain one stroke behind in second. Anthony Kim, meanwhile, posted his best round since returning to professional golf in 2024 after an almost 12-year injury absence, shooting a 7-under 64 to move up to joint third with Josele Ballester and Tyrrell Hatton, two shots off the lead. The Saudi International concludes on Saturday and serves as the International Series' season-ender and third-to-last stop on the Asian Tour with a total purse of $5 million up for grabs.
