BARAC AND MARIJUS UZIPUS HUGGING STORY: Serbian powerhouse Ub defeated Lithuanian squad Raudondvaris 20-16 to claim the FIBA 3×3 Manama tournament Final Saturday (November 22) in Bahrain. Led by 3×3 star Strahinja Stojacic, who was named tournament MVP, Ub won both pool play matches on Friday before squeaking past defending champs Amsterdam 16-15 in the quarter-final and sinking Skyliners 22-16 in the semis. Ub jumped out to an early lead before Raudondvaris closed the gap with 1:47 remaining when Evaldas Dziaugys hit a 2-pointer to cut Ub's lead to 16-15. Ub's Stojacic, nicknamed Dr. Strange, calmly drove the lane and dished a pass out to an open Nenad Nerandzic who sank his own 2-pointer to restore their three point lead 18-15.
