ZOOMED OUT MONOCHROME SATELLITE IMAGE OF AREA'S TOPOGRAPHY STORY: Satellite images from a U.S.-based spatial intelligence and Earth observation company on Sunday (February 8) showed the downhill course where U.S. skier Lindsey Vonn suffered a horrific crash. Vonn crashed out of the women's Alpine skiing Olympic downhill on Sunday with the race halted as she received medical attention. The 41-year-old, making an extraordinary comeback despite a serious knee injury, lost control early in her run after starting 13th and landed on her side before being pitched backwards down the Olimpia delle Tofane piste. Vonn was evacuated to a hospital where she underwent surgery. A source told Reuters that she was being monitored in the intensive care unit where she could have more privacy, and stressed there was no threat to her life. (Production: Monica Naime, Keval Singh)
