VIDEO SHOWS: PRESS CONFERENCE WITH MANCHESTER CITY MANAGER PEP GUARDIOLA SHOWS: MANCHESTER, ENGLAND, UNITED KINGDOM (DECEMBER 1, 2025) (NICHE MEDIA – No restrictions) 1.(SOUNDBITE) (English) MANCHESTER CITY MANAGER, PEP GUARDIOLA, SAYING: REPORTER: "Hi Pep, I just wondered if that's a game on Saturday you feel that last season you may not have won and how much of a difference you've seen in the mentality of your team from a year ago to now?" GUARDIOLA: "Comparing, sorry?” REPORTER: "The game on Saturday to this time last year, is that a game that this time last year you wouldn't have won, wouldn't have found a way to win?" GUARDIOLA: "Against Fulham?" REPORTER: "Yeah, no, against Leeds." GUARDIOLA: "The last game against Leeds, if what happened last season?" REPORTER: "No, the game against Leeds on Saturday, your team this time a year ago, would you have won that game?" GUARDIOLA: "I don't know. I don’t know. I'm not able to know what happened or what will happen. I don't know, to be honest." REPORTER: "Have you seen a big difference in the mentality of the team since then?" GUARDIOLA: "Because we won?” REPORTER: "Yes, to where you are now compared to this time last season." GUARDIOLA: "It depends on feel. Put the ball in the net. I don't know if that defines the mentality of one team or no mentality of one win. I don't believe in these kinds of things." REPORTER: "Okay. Just on Gianluigi (Donnarumma), there's been a lot of talk about the incident on Saturday. He picked up a fourth yellow card at the weekend this season. Is that a concern for you?" GUARDIOLA: "No, I have a lot. I have many. Yeah, it is what it is." REPORTER: "Have you spoken to him about it?" GUARDIOLA: "No. Thank you." REPORTER: "Hi, Pep. So, you're playing a team in Fulham who are coming off the back of a very good result at the weekend. How do you see Fulham this season?" GUARDIOLA: "Marco (Silva, Fulham manager) is many, many years there and always have been really, really tough games. Difficult. The organisation is exceptional and every year I have the feeling that with the ball they are better and even better. So, tough, tough opponent. I saw the games these days yesterday and today. Against Chelsea, against Arsenal, last games against Sunderland, and always it's so, so difficult for the opponents, break up them, and yeah, always have been in this beautiful stadium in London." REPORTER: "And can I just check on Rodri? How is he now?" GUARDIOLA: "Not yet." REPORTER: "Weekend, perhaps?" GUARDIOLA: "No, I don't know." STORY: Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola was in no mood for conversation on Monday (December 1) ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Fulham at Craven Cottage on Tuesday (December 2). During the press conference, Guardiola frequently pressed reporters to clarify their questions, before offering brief answers in return. The entire press conference lasted 133 seconds – including question time. City sit second on the Premier League table with 25 points, while the Cottagers find themselves in 15th, with 17 points, as Marco Silva’s side continues the search for consistency.
