Courtney Rossel, Davis' ex-girlfriend, accused Davis of battery, aggravated battery, false imprisonment, kidnapping and intentional infliction of emotional distress, she alleges that Davis attacked her on October 27 in a strip club where she works as a cocktail server. Police in Miami Gardens, Florida, confirmed that an investigation is ongoing, and Roussel received a restraining order barring Davis from coming new her or her workplace, according to USA Today. In response, Nakisa Bidarian, the CEO of Most Valuable Promotions, which was promoting the Paul-Davis bout, announced in a statement on Monday that the exhibition fight was scrapped. Paul (12-1, 7 KOs) has fought at weights from 183 pounds to 227 pounds. His past two bouts were high-profile, unanimous-decision wins over Mike Tyson last November and over Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. in June.
