WIDE OF BREWERS CELEBRATING  STORY: The Milwaukee Brewers hit three solo home runs and used five pitchers to combine on a four-hitter, securing a 3-1 victory over the Chicago Cubs in Game 5 of the National League Division Series on Saturday (October 11) to advance to the National League Championship Series. The Brewers, who hold the No. 1 overall seed and home-field advantage throughout the postseason, will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLCS starting Monday. This marks Milwaukee's first playoff series win since the 2018 NLDS; they lost to the Dodgers in seven games in the NLCS that year. William Contreras, Andrew Vaughn, and Brice Turang provided the offensive spark for Milwaukee with solo home runs.
