Ford to recall about 227,000 vehicles in US for windshield, seat issues, NHTSA says

(Reuters) -Ford Motor is recalling 227,006 vehicles in the United States for issues ranging from air bubbles in windshield glass to loose seat frames, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Thursday. The recalls cover 163,256 Bronco SUVs for front seats that may have loose bolts, and 56,841 Lincoln and Explorer vehicles due to windshields with visible air bubbles, according to the NHTSA. It also includes 6,909  Econoline vans for inoperative defrosting and defogging systems. Dealers will replace the faulty pieces responsible for the recalls free of charge, NHTSA said. Ford had recalled 175,000 vehicles on Wednesday, owing to moonroof wind deflectors detaching. The recall covered Ford Expedition and Lincoln Navigator SUVs, and F-series pickup trucks.
