Berliners of all ages and levels of football experience are invited to take part in hands-on activities over the weekend. “Over the next few days, we will have here lots of children, young people and people who have never held a football before, and we will simply introduce them to the game,” Alexander Steinforth, the general manager of NFL Germany, told Reuters TV. Germany is the NFL’s largest growth market outside North America, noted Steinforth. “We have over 20 million fans here in Germany and keep on growing,” he said. “The passion from the fans over here is really unique”. As many children were trying their hand at flag football, the NFL fever was growing in German capital, where the Indianapolis Colts will play against the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday (November 9) at the Olympic Stadium.
