VIDEO SHOWS: BELGIUM TRAINING AND PRESS CONFERENCE COMMENTS FROM HEAD COACH, RUDI GARCIA, AHEAD OF WORLD CUP QUALIFIER AWAY TO KAZAKHSTAN RESENDING WITH COMPLETE SCRIPT SHOWS: ASTANA, KAZAKHSTAN (NOVEMBER 14, 2025) (REUTERS – Access all) 1. VARIOUS EXTERIORS OF ASTANA ARENA 2. BELGIUM HEAD COACH, RUDI GARCIA, AND CAPTAIN, YOURI TIELEMANS, ARRIVING AT PRESS CONFERENCE 3. TIELEMANS AND GARCIA SEATED 4. (SOUNDBITE) (French) BELGIUM CAPTAIN, YOURI TIELEMANS, ON KEVIN DE BRUYNE’S INJURY, SAYING: “We all know Kevin. We know how good he is. He’s been with the national team for a number of years now and he’s a very important player for the group. His quality can make the difference in any given match, any given situation. He’s a very intelligent player on the pitch and he works very hard. So, he’s obviously going to be a miss for us. Him as well as Romelu (Lukaku) and THIBAUT (Courtois). It will be up to us as a team to make up for their absence.   5. PRESS CONFERENCE ONGOING 6. (SOUNDBITE) (French) BELGIUM HEAD COACH, RUDI GARCIA, SAYING: “When the opportunity arises to take three points, add another win to this campaign and seal qualification for the 2026 World Cup, they’re going to seize this opportunity. To not play at 100% would be a mistake. My role is to say to everybody – not just you but to the fans and also to my players – that we need to be at 100% tomorrow. If we’re at 100% we’ll be in with a good chance to qualify tomorrow night. I don’t want to wait until Tuesday to qualify. I want us to have already qualified tomorrow evening here in Kazakhstan.  7. PRESS CONFERENCE ONGOING 8. (SOUNDBITE) (French) BELGIUM HEAD COACH, RUDI GARCIA, ON PLAYING ON AN ARTIFICIAL PITCH, SAYING: “It’s a different sort of football. The way the ball bounces, for example. But tomorrow we have zero excuses be it the journey here, the time difference or the artificial pitch. We’re a Belgian team that must win tomorrow, that wants to win tomorrow and wants to qualify for the World Cup no matter what sort of surface we’re playing or any other circumstances such as the players we’re missing. We are strong enough with the players we have available, with the core of our team as you say, to win tomorrow and qualify.   9. PLAYERS ON TRAINING PITCH 10. GARCIA TALKING TO PLAYERS IN HUDDLE 11. PLAYERS WARMING UP STORY: Belgium can book their spot in the 2026 World Cup with a win away to Kazakhstan on Saturday (November 15). The Red Devils hold a one point lead over North Macedonia in Group J with a game in hand over the second place side.  Hosts Kazakhstan, meanwhile, have already been eliminated from contention as they sit seven points back in fourth with one game to play.  Rudi Garcia’s side comfortably won the reverse fixture 6-0 in Anderlecht two months ago but will be without some of their biggest stars in Kevin de Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois and Romelu Lukaku on Saturday. They will also have to contend with the challenge of playing on the Astana Arena’s artificial pitch which has come in for criticism by visiting sides.  (Production: Pavel Mikheyev, Conal Quinn)
