And in this moment there is not time for these kind of things. First of all, because I have a contract here until 2029 probably. And my focus, I said many times that, is just about this club and I'm very proud to be here. But again, it's speculation. One week ago it was in Italy, the same with Juventus, so I don't pay attention because I know that is not true." 2. WHITE FLASH 3. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA MANAGER, ENZO MARESCA, ON HIS MESSAGE FOR CHELSEA FANS, SAYING: "Just to continue to support the team in the way they have done since I joined the club and also in the past. Trust the process from the team, from the club, from everyone." 4. WHITE FLASH 5. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA MANAGER, ENZO MARESCA, SAYING: JOURNALIST ASKING: "Can you promise that you'll still be at Chelsea next season?" MARESCA SAYING: "Absolutely, yes. Again, I have a contract until 2029 and this is speculation 100%. So I don't have nothing to add because again, I don't pay attention. And if we continue to talk about that, that means that I'm paying attention on that. But I'm not focused on that. I'm just focused on the Newcastle game. I'm focused in my job. Again, I signed a contract last year until 2029. I'm happy with that and no more than that." 6. WHITE FLASH 7. (SOUNDBITE) (English) CHELSEA MANAGER, ENZO MARESCA, SAYING: "For me it's always difficult, night, day. They are very good team. Manager, very good. Doing a fantastic job. Since years ago. They are strong, they are intense. So no matter the time, it is going to be a difficult game." STORY: Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca on Friday dismissed reports linking him with the top job at Manchester City, insisting the speculation over his future does not affect him at all as he remains fully committed to the London club. Maresca, who previously worked as an assistant coach at City, joined Chelsea in 2024 and led the Premier League side to the Europa Conference League title at the end of his first season, followed by the Club World Cup in July. A report in The Athletic this week said the 45-year-old Italian is among the top candidates to replace Pep Guardiola at City when the Spanish manager brings an end to his trophy-laden spell at the Etihad Stadium. Asked about the links, Maresca told reporters: "It doesn't affect me at all because I know it's 100 percent speculation." (Production: Oliver Regan)
