Exequiel Zeballos played Lautaro Blanco in who chipped the goalkeeper to open the scoring four minutes before half-time.  After the break, Leandro Paredes scored from the penalty spot to give the hosts a two goal cushion.  The result sees Boca move up to fourth in the Group A standings with six points while Newell’s remain winless with just one point after the opening three matches.
