Why not! But at the end Messi is the best footballer in the last 10 years around or more. I always appreciated seeing him playing football. It’s unbelievable what’s he is doing and of course, for every team he is good, but the fact his contract is (ending in) '28 and my contract finishes at '27, so… for me it’s not a question.” 23. NEWS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS 24. VARIOUS OF PLAYERS TRAINING STORY: Barcelona coach Hansi Flick said on Friday (November 21) the team’s long-awaited return to the refurbished Camp Nou will give his players and fans a “special boost” when they face Athletic Bilbao in La Liga on Saturday (November 22). The Catalan giants will play at their iconic home for the first time in two and a half years after renovations forced them to relocate to Montjuic stadium. The stadium will open at reduced capacity, hosting around 45,000 fans. Barcelona sit second in La Liga with 28 points from 12 matches, three behind leaders Real Madrid. Athletic Bilbao are seventh on 17 points. The German coach also addressed Lionel Messi’s recent comments expressing his desire to return to Barcelona. Asked if he would like to coach the Argentine, Flick joked: “Why not? Messi is the best player of the last ten years.” But he quickly ruled out the possibility, noting Messi's contract ends in 2028 while Flick's ends in 2027.
