(Adds foreign ministry response in paragraph 3, context in paragraph 4) BUENOS AIRES, Oct 22 (Reuters) – Argentina's Foreign Minister Gerardo Werthein presented his resignation on Tuesday night, Argentina's presidential office confirmed to Reuters on Wednesday following local news reports. Local newspaper La Nacion reported earlier on Wednesday that the foreign minister had been expected to leave his office after Argentina's Sunday midterm election, adding that it was unclear who will be replacing the minister. Argentine President Javier Milei said this week that there would be a cabinet shakeup after the midterm elections, which will be closely watched by investors and will impact whether the president can continue his economic reforms.
