The Canadian telecom and media company has poured money into sports properties, including its stake in Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment, which owns the NBA's Toronto Raptors and the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs. Live sports remains a bright spot across the media landscape in both the United States and Canada, with fans flocking to platforms to catch live games despite pricing pressures and shifting global trade dynamics.
