(Adds retail sales data in paragraph 3) TOKYO, Sept 30 (Reuters) – Japan's factory output fell 1.2% in August from the previous month, exceeding a median market forecast for a 0.8% decline, government data showed on Tuesday. Manufacturers surveyed by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry expect seasonally adjusted output to grow 4.1% in September and rise 1.2% in October. Separate data showed Japanese retail sales in August unexpectedly declined 1.1% from a year earlier, against the median market forecast for a 1.0% rise.
