(Updates with details and background from paragraph 2 onwards) Oct 14 (Reuters) – Australian gas producer Santos on Tuesday announced the resignation of finance chief Sherry Duhe, a year after she assumed the role, and appointed Lachlan Harris as acting CFO. Duhe, a former Woodside and Newcrest senior executive, was appointed in September last year amid speculation about a potential leadership change at Santos. Analysts at the time had named Duhe as a possible successor to CEO Kevin Gallagher, should he step down. The latest top management change comes just weeks after a consortium led by Abu Dhabi National Oil Company walked away from an $18.7 billion offer for Santos, following months of wrangling over valuation and terms.
