"Not heard what he had to say": Congress' Pawan Khera on Sam Pitroda's reported Pakistan remarks

New Delhi [India], September 19 (ANI): Congress leader Pawan Khera, on Friday, while addressing the issue of Overseas Congress chief Sam Pitroda’s recent reported media statement on Pakistan, said that he is not aware of his remarks.

Sam Pitroda reportedly said in a media statement that he had been to Pakistan and “felt at home”.

Khera also targeted the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, mentioning that they talk about “Akhand Bharat” (United India) but have a problem, and someone else says the same thing.

“I have not heard what he had to say…RSS always talks about ‘Akhand Bharat’, but when someone else says it, they have a problem,” Khera told ANI.

Meanwhile, the BJP also launched a scathing attack on Sam Pitroda’s remarks, stating that Congress’ “soft corner” for Pakistan has been reflected once again. He further termed the Indian National Congress as the “Islamabad National Congress”.

“The collab between Congress and Pakistan is a very old collaboration. Congress has followed a policy, where they have given a clean chit to Pakistan on 26/11, Pahalgam, Pulwama, and undermined Indian forces. Now, Sam Pitroda says Pakistan is like his home and he feels comfortable there. He likes to be in Pakistan where Hindus are killed…The soft corner Congress has for Pakistan is reflected time and again…INC means Islamabad National Congress, not Indian National Congress,” BJP leader Shahzad Poonawalla told ANI.

BJP leader RP Singh, while referring to Sam Pitroda as Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi’s mentor, said that everyone is aware of their love for Pakistan.

“Everyone knows that Rahul Gandhi and his mentor have special love for Pakistan,” he said.

Earlier, NCP MP Sunil Tatkare called Congress Overseas Chief Sam Pitroda’s recent remarks about Pakistan “unfortunate” and “sad for India.”

Speaking to ANI, Sunil Tatkare said, “It is sad for India. He also grew up in India and achieved his status in India… It is unfortunate…”. (ANI)
