WASHINGTON, Oct 17 (Reuters) – Ukraine's discussions about a new four-year lending programme with the International Monetary Fund will need some time to conclude, the global lender's Europe director, Alfred Kammer, said on Friday. "These discussions are progressing and they have progressed also during this week, but this will be a process which will take some time and this has just been the beginning of the process," Kammer said in a press conference during the IMF and World Bank annual meetings in Washington. The IMF said on Wednesday that its managing director, Kristalina Georgieva, intended to visit Ukraine for the first time since February 2023. The date of the visit has not yet been determined.
