Egypt's oil ministry announces exporting new LNG shipment chartered by Shell

CAIRO, Oct 13 (Reuters) – Egypt's oil ministry said on Monday that the country had exported a liquefied natural gas shipment estimated at 155,000 cubic meters chartered by energy major Shell. In a statement, the ministry said the shipment was exported from Egypt's Idku LNG plant to Italy. The shipment represents an uncommon outbound move from Egypt, particularly since it became a net LNG importer again in 2024.
