Congress' Telangana model is "Fake, Failed, Fraud Model": BJP leader NV Subhash

Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], September 26 (ANI): Launching a scathing attack on Congress, Telangana state BJP chief official spokesperson and media in-charge N V Subhash today pooh-poohed the decision of the Congress party to implement “Telangana Model” in Bihar and other states in the country.

Addressing a press conference, Subhash alleged that the Congress party now wanted to deceive people of the state of Bihar after it had cheated Telangana people with its impracticable promises.

After taking charge as the party’s state chief official spokesperson, Subhash expressed his gratitude to the state party president, N Ramchander Rao, Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar, and Rajya Sabha member Dr K. Laxman for assigning him new responsibilities.

Terming “Telangana Model” as ” F-3″, which means “Fake, Failed and Fraud”, Subhash alleged that the Congress government was misleading people with this so-called ” Telangana Model”. He accused the Revanth Reddy government of deceiving people with hollow promises.

He claimed that both the BRS and Congress parties had betrayed the public by making promises to gain power and then failing to fulfil them.

The BJP leader ridiculed the discussion of the “Telangana Model” in the Congress Working Committee (CWC) extended meeting and the decision to be replicated across the country. “They make tall promises, but implementation is zero”, he alleged.

Subhash also criticised the state government for its inaction on water issues, as CM Revanth Reddy failed to raise the issue of increasing Almatti dam height by the Karnataka government.

On the issue of 42 per cent reservation to the Backward Class (BC) community, the BJP leader urged the Congress government to overcome all legal complications and follow transparency to implement 42 per cent in toto to the BC community without religious-based reservations. The BJP will not compromise with BC reservations, and it will provide 45 per cent reservations to BCs, he said.

Subhash further stated that the party’s goal was to bring the BJP to power in Telangana and called on the media for its continued support in these efforts.

Meanwhile, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, on Thursday, recalling the legacy of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, said, “We have drawn inspiration from the former Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, Kalaignar Karunanidhi. Inspired by his vision, we are working towards implementing 42% reservation for OBCs, and 27% for SCs and STs, bringing it together to 69% for SCs, STs, and OBCs.” (ANI)
