Four Segments, One Campus: Dr Vivek Bindra’s Bada Business Investee Luno Solar Plans an Integrated Solar and Storage Manufacturing Hub

Narmadapuram [Madhya Pradesh], October 19:Luno Solar, an investee company of Bada Business associated with entrepreneur and investor Dr Vivek Bindra, is planning an integrated renewable-energy manufacturing hub that brings four key segments of the solar and storage value chain together at one location. The company held the groundbreaking ceremony for the Luno Renewable Park on 12 October 2026 at the Mohasa-Babai Industrial Area in Narmadapuram. Planned across 45 acres, the facility is intended to manufacture solar cells, modules, inverters and battery energy storage systems.

Luno Solar’s association with Bada Business’s Idea to IPO initiative forms another part of its scale-up narrative. The proposed integration of solar cells, modules, inverters and battery storage at a single campus reflects the company’s ambition to build a broader manufacturing platform, with greater coordination across product segments and more control over its production ecosystem.

An integrated model across the value chain

The proposed park includes a 2.4 GW solar-cell line using advanced TOPCon technology, a 2.4 GW solar-module line, a 1.2 GW inverter line and a 1.2 GW battery energy storage system line. This combination is central to Luno’s plan to build an integrated manufacturing setup rather than concentrating on a single product category.

The company’s first-phase estimates envisage approximately 2.2 lakh solar cells and 3,500 modules per day, alongside 200 inverters and 250 lithium batteries. The figures are planned production estimates and should not be interpreted as current output.

Solar cells form the basis of photovoltaic modules, inverters support the conversion of electricity for use in electrical systems, and battery storage enables electricity to be retained for later use. Bringing these manufacturing segments together is intended to support coordination across production stages, quality control and delivery planning.

Scale, technology and customer proposition

Luno’s planned use of G12 and G12R wafers in its TOPCon cell line reflects its focus on advanced solar manufacturing technology. The company aims to develop a broader solar and storage offering through one integrated campus, potentially simplifying coordination for customers seeking multiple components from a single manufacturer.

The company expects module manufacturing to begin within three months of the groundbreaking and the first batch of cells within nine months, subject to project execution. The facility is planned to become operational in phases.

“An integrated manufacturing setup gives a business a broader view of the product, from the component stage to the finished solution. In solar energy, bringing cells, modules, inverters and storage into one ecosystem can create opportunities for closer coordination and a more comprehensive customer offering,” said Dr Vivek Bindra, entrepreneur and investor.

A wider domestic manufacturing ambition

The project aligns with the Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat priorities by seeking to deepen domestic manufacturing across renewable-energy components. Luno describes the proposed park as one of Central India’s largest integrated clean-energy manufacturing hubs; that positioning should be understood as the company’s description of the project.

The facility remains under development, but its proposed scope sets it apart from a project focused solely on solar-module assembly and reflects Luno’s ambition to participate across a broader portion of the clean-energy value chain.
