SINGAPORE, Feb 9 (Reuters) – Standard Chartered said on Monday it had appointed Raza Jafree as global head of private client sales, as it sets up a new partnership between its corporate and investment bank and wealth unit to serve single-family offices and ultra-high net worth clients. Jafree joined on February 2 from UBS and is based in Hong Kong. He has almost three decades of experience at Credit Suisse and UBS, the bank said. At Standard Chartered, Jafree will lead a team under the partnership between corporate and investment banking and wealth and retail banking. He will report to Sharad Desai, global head, sales and structuring, corporate and investment banking, and Raymond Ang, global head, private bank and affluent clients, and head of wealth and retail banking for Greater China and North Asia.
