It was like a deadly combo – definitely some people looked at me with a side-eye. I put some olive oil all over it, too. Definitely a crazy combination, but it tasted so good.”  28. HOTELS BEHIND RINGS STORY: Freestyle ski athletes in Livigno to compete in the Winter Olympics say they cannot get enough pizza since they’ve arrived in Italy for the Games.      Austrian slopestyle and big air skier Matej Svancer said he has started customising his pies, adding steak and prosciutto to a standard margarita pizza – describing it as a "deadly" yet delicious combination.     Troy Podmilsak of the U.S., who will also compete in both slopestyle and big air at Livigno’s Snow Park, said he’s been eating pizza every day since his arrival, fore "pretty much every single meal besides breakfast.”      Competing in the same events for the U.S. on the women’s side, Marin Hamill said it was all about the pizza in Italy.      Tourists and spectators who have come to the Alpine village leading up to the Olympics said they’ve been gobbling up almost as much as the athletes.      Visitors also said they weren’t too surprised the Olympians were eating pizza, even though they need to keep their bodies in peak shape ahead of competition.       Stefan Doubek, a driver for Team Austria, said it was "very hard to say no" to pizza when in Italy.
