(SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) BENFICA COACH, JOSE MOURINHO, SAYING: “I've won and lost matches, and I've won and lost knockout ties in the last minute, but never with a goalkeeper scoring a fantastic goal that even the best strikers in the world would love to score. So, the emotion really is huge, even for someone like me, who's already been through everything. I thought I'd been through everything. Turns out I havn't been through everything after all.” 5. PRESS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS 6. (SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) BENFICA COACH, JOSE MOURINHO, SAYING: “When we won that wide free-kick, we had to go all in. I didn't want to go all in completely, I told (Samuel) Dahl to stay back, because I thought, if we can't win with four, we'll win with three, and like I said before the match, either we kill or we die on our feet. So, we died on our feet, we won 3–2, and we could have died on our feet.” 7. PRESS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS 8. (SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) BENFICA COACH, JOSE MOURINHO, SAYING: “The big guy scores a fantastic goal, and I think that for Benfica it's a fantastic night, regardless of what happens in the future. I know we had incredible luck in the draw, we got either Inter or Real Madrid but regardless of that, it's a fantastic night, and a night to remember." 9. PRESS CONFERENCE IN PROGRESS 10. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) BENFICA COACH, JOSE MOURINHO, SAYING: “Madrid and Inter are two of the main candidates to win the competition. That's absolutely clear. We're not. We’re not but we compete.” 11. MOURINHO LEAVING  12. MEDIA  13. REAL MADRID COACH ALVARO ARBELOA SEATED FOR POST-MATCH PRESS CONFERENCE 14. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) REAL MADRID COACH, ALVARO ARBELOA, SAYING: “We were far from what we wanted to be. With the difficulties of the match, the opponent's demands, the atmosphere, what they were playing for and what we were playing for, I think we weren't able to be at the level we needed for the full 90 minutes.” 15. PRESS CONFRENCE IN PROGRESS 16. (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) REAL MADRID COACH, ALVARO ARBELOA, SAYING: “No, it's not the first time I've suffered a goal from a goalkeeper. They had to take risks. We were two players down, and we also needed to score a goal to be in the top eight. They took the risk, we did too, and in the end they won.” 17. PRESS CONFRENCE IN PROGRESS 18 (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) REAL MADRID COACH, ALVARO ARBELOA, SAYING: “As I always say, when things don't go right and when the team is far from the level we were at, for example, in Villarreal, the responsibility is always mine, because I didn't manage to get the players to approach the match in the way I wanted." 19. ARBELOA LEAVING STORY: Goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin scored a 98th-minute header as Benfica defeated Real Madrid 4-2 to secure a Champions League knockout place on Wednesday (January 28) and deny their opponents an automatic spot in the round-of-16. Benfica were heading out despite leading 3-2 with seconds of stoppage time remaining before Trubin met a free-kick to score the goal they needed to reach the playoff round on goal-difference. Real had hoped to finish in the top eight and go straight into the last 16, but their 15 points from eight games was not enough and they finished the match with nine men as Raul Asencio and Rodrygo were sent off. Andreas Schjelderup scored two goals for Benfica and Vangelis Pavlidis converted from the penalty spot, while Kylian Mbappe netted twice for Real in a hugely entertaining, end-to-end contest.
